Chances are
you could need in the future
..
or in the past you have needed the
services of a collision repair and
refinishing facility to handle your auto
body repair requirements.
Whether it's
from storm damage, rust and corrosion,
acid rain and harsh sunlight, or an
automobile accident, the
probability you will need a reputable
and quality auto body shop is a very
real matter . It's wise, then,
to know how to select a body shop.
In almost
all cases it will be your
responsibility to choose the company who
will do the repairs for you.
A few of our customers first believed that
their Insurance Company would take care
of all the accident details for them. They actually
were very surprised when learning it was
their responsibility to choose the Auto
Body Shop them selves.
You might
think that you will research or learn
about your local Auto Body Shops when and if
you need one. You may see no sense
in finding out more about one when you
don't need one.
Actually,
the above statement is not
correct. In fact, you should start
shopping for a body shop before you need
one.
Why? Because, you can make
better decisions when you are not rushed,
under any stress circumstances
or in a panic.
A logical method in
locating an auto and body repair shop
can be to research your standard
resources such as phone listings and
advertisements including the Internet.
Another wise approach can
be to
ask friends
and associates for their
recommendations. The old-fashioned word-of-mouth
reputation is still most valuable.
Additionally, you can always check with
your local consumer organizations
regarding the reputation of the facility
you might be using someday. Ask about
the number of complaints, if any, and
determine how the complaints were
resolved.
Autowise
Collision is proud to provide a record
of satisfied customers. You can read
just some of our
testimonials
here.
Try to visit the shop before making the
decision on who will repair your
vehicle. We at Autowise Collision are
always pleased to answer your questions,
and explain procedures that you might
concern you about your vehicle. You can
obtain
directions here.
You should
ask if the shop handles your vehicle
make and model. And, make sure to ask
how long the shop has been in business.
Ask if the company and facility uses
modern equipment. Many vehicle
manufacturers recommend specific repair
procedures and equipment for the body
repair and or painting of your vehicle.
Ensure that the facility you choose has
qualified staff and they are
trained in required procedures.
Additionally, ask questions to confirm
the shop has the
proper equipment necessary to complete
the work satisfactorily..
Look for the signs that the staff is
technically competent, such as trade
school diplomas, certificates of
advanced course work training from I-CAR
(the Inter-Industry ASE Conference on
Auto Collision Repair). Also look for
ASE certifications—a national standard
of technician competence.
Also, look
to see if the shop has any policies,
guarantees, and methods of payment
posted or explained in visual content.
Make sure to
ask all questions, even making notes and
keep in contact with your representative
or customer care staff if you have any
additional questions.
